about me
As an only child with a big imagination, I’ve always told myself stories.
An ESL success story, I spoke Bengali till the age of 6 before speaking English.
During those years where I didn’t have access to the mainstream spoken language, I leaned into gesture, body language and voice tone to navigate social situations, which ultimately led to my study of classical Indian dance, singing and eventually my 3 decade study of theatre. I credit ESL for helping me understand the multitude of ways in which we tell stories without language.
Learning silence doesn’t mean someone doesn’t have something to say.
It brings me a lot joy to take what I’ve learned to help writers and creators bring their ideas to life. It’s fulfilling because it feeds my lifelong curiosity of how to tell a compelling story.
Looking forward to hearing your story very soon.
